Since there is no advertising, this free hosting offer definitely qualified used to qualify as 'cheap web hosting'. Now, if you just want to dip your toe in the water, I would probably suggest wix.com or yola.com. Having said that, I'm not aware of any free option now which will let you run scripts and really start to get somewhere :-(
