Creating your own product can come later once you have the hang of how it all works. Commissions can range from just a few percent up to 100%. 100%? Yes, there are even people who will let you keep the whole selling price because they will be benefitting in other ways. The Free, No-Cost Way To GoThe first free step to take is to organise a way of being paid. So if you haven't already got a PayPal account, just nip over there and get a free PayPal account and I'll see you back here in a few minutes. Now let's go window shopping for products to promote. First stop is ClickBank. ClickBank has around 10,000 products you can promote, with commissions of up to 75%. Look for "Become an Affiliate" and get yourself a free account. If you're promoting other people's products, it is free to join. This is what you are looking for:
Next let's go and take a look at another site, PayDotCom. Again we are not going to spend any money, it's free to be an affiliate. PayDotCom is particularly suited to people not having a US$ bank account, because money is paid via PayPal. Click on 'Affiliates' on the menu and sign up. Then have a browse round to see some of the products available to promote. Incidentally, PayDotCom allows the sale of physical goods as well as digital products. Here are some examples:
I also like ShareASale, because they check your site before it is approved. Even if you don't have your site finished, it's worth having a browse around now. Are you beginning to get ideas? Have you spotted something yet that fits in with the needs you have started to identify in the Research section? You see some people argue that you should find the people first and then find the product; other people argue you should find the product and then find the people who need it. In reality it really works in both directions at the same time and you should find that one inspires the other as you swap between the two.
